Careminster functions are not enabled

Master_Mirage
Im trying the lightshare toy in .7 Using the example script from meta7. also have it enabled in the ini but
When i reset the script or when the region loads with the script in it, i keep getting: Careminster functions are not enabled.
Is there something more that needs done?

Re: Careminster functions are not enabled

Master_Mirage
Humm ok then all that i should need to do is enable it in the ini... seems its not using it as that, It shows up in the log as an muted error. We love your work btw :)
Ill wait a bit, i know there bussy and were just testing .7 right now. As your crew was the inventor i prob dont need to mantis it.

[LightShare]

    ; This enables the transmission of Windlight scenes to supporting clients, such as the Meta7 viewer.
    ; It has no ill effect on viewers which do not support server-side windlight settings.
    ; Currently we only have support for MySQL databases.
    enable_windlight = true;
is whats set and the script is a copy of the basic one you offered at meta7.

tnx

hi again :) i renamed the CM to OS in the script but doing that shows up as an unknown script function. CM is not rejected but says its not enabled. I do have OSsl scripting enabled to allow most all functions as were just evaluting .7 in an isolated envroment.

osSetWindlightScene vrs cmSetWindlightScene or am i still using the wrong function?

tnx

Re: Careminster functions are not enabled

Jacek Antonelli
When I was playing around with the LightShare functions on my own sim
a few weeks ago, I had to add the following to my OpenSim.ini:

  AllowCareminsterFunctions = true

I don't know if that's still relevant now if the functions have been
renamed, but perhaps it will help.

I may be wrong then, but i'm almost sure we provided   a patch to core to rename those cmLightshare to osxxxxx

Anyway, You will need an 'hacked' viewer to see thoses settings in actions.

Ok i set the suggestion (AllowCareminsterFunctions = true ) in the ini, now its not saying that, ending sucess. And setting the osxxxxxxx back to cmxxxxxxxx in the script but i get something else now.

(script says this on reset)
MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Table 'opensim.regionwindlight' doesn't exist.

And its right about the table not existing.

Im not shure what form the table should be or i would just make one to see whats next. at least its trying to work now anyway :)

tnx

Sacha, could you provide a link to this patch?  If these functions are being contributed to OpenSim then I think that there is a good argument that they should be os* functions and enabled/disabled with all the others.

Also copying this to the opensim-dev list for potential discussion.

It's also not good if these functions aren't actually working or rely on tables that don't exist in OpenSim.  Is this functionality complete?
