FsAssets and Flotsam Cache together?

Fred Beckhusen

If am running FSAssets, why would I also need a Flotsam Cache?  Any
point to it?

Re: FsAssets and Flotsam Cache together?

Melanie
Flotsam cache is a mixed memory/disk cache on your local machine. FSAssets, even if on the same machine, always uses TCP to re-fetch the asset. That overhaed can explode to many 10s of seconds without a cache.
