Start Open Simulator - region issue

Irina Lipov
Hi,
I am new to opensimulator
I`ve download the last version opensim-0.9.0.1 and started it from the
command line. (choosing default parameters)
It was stuck in:
*Region ([) #*
I tried to leave it blank, [root] ,], and other string options - nothing
helps.
Regions.ini also doesn`t have too much information

*[[]]RegionUUID = 38ddeb5f-8a37-4f25-9f83-9c215e9418c8Location =
1000,1000SizeX = 256SizeY = 256SizeZ = 256InternalAddress =
0.0.0.0InternalPort = 9000ResolveAddress = FalseExternalHostName =
SYSTEMIPMaptileStaticUUID = 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000*
Is it something known? whot should be a region? or am i missing something?
Thank you
--
Best,
Irena

Re: Start Open Simulator - region issue

Asaff Belfer
Hello,

Open Simulator as it is downloaded from OpenSimulator.org requires some
configuration and understanding before the first use. Please refer to the
configuration page at: http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Configuration for
further information.

There are also other distributions of Open Simulator that are ready for use
like the Diva distribution. I suggest that you browse a bit through the
OpenSimulator.org website.

If you have specific questions that will help you start I'd be happy to
help.

Thanks,
Asaff
