Ubuntu Users!

Maxwell, Douglas
Does anyone have any insights into how to get Ubuntu to respect "alt" key remapping so that camera operation in the viewer (any viewer) can be done using Ubuntu?  Currently the OS wants to use the alt key for window movement.  We've tried a few approaches and nothing has worked so far.  Any tips?  v/r-d

I haven't used Ubuntu desktop for a while but I remember remapping the alt key in the Ubuntu system config menus. This thread for Blender seems to offer similar solutions and may help: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?207215-Alt-key-doesn-t-work-in-Ubuntu-SOLVED

System Settings => Keyboard => then the shortcut tab. There you can assign different key combos or disable a short cut entirely.
